Maria Kacharina

Maria was born in Kazan. She started taking violin lessons at the age of four at the Secondary Special Music School at Nazib Zhiganov Kazan State Conservatory in class of Jullia Vivat, honored teacher of the Republic of Tatarstan. After that she enrolled at the Central Music School at Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory to the class of Associate Professor Johann Ko.

Maria became the holder of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan scholarship. Maria is the laureate of national and international competitions such as the Governor’s International Youth Contest named after V. Gavrilin (1st prize), Marine Iashvili International Competition for String Instruments (2nd Prize, Tbilisi, Georgia), VII Demidov International Youth Violin Competition DEMUX (2nd prize), VII Abram Yampolsky International Violin Competition, All-Russian competition "Young talents of Russia", and many others.

Maria has performed with such conductors as Rustem Abyazov, Mikhail Pletnev, Anna Gulishambarova, Wolf Usminsky.
