Maria Cherkassova

Maria started taking her violin lessons at the age of six in her native city of Mezhdurechensk. She continued her studies in Vladivostok. She graduated from GnesinRussian Academy of Music (class of Professor A. Koshvants) in 2019. She was enrolled in the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory (class of Professor A. Trostyansky). Currently, she is the third year student of the class of Professor A. Koshvants.

Maria is the laureate of many international competitions. She won two prestigious competitions in 2016 such as X International M.G. Erdenko Violin Competition in Belgorod and III Zagir Ismagilov International Competition of Music Performers in Ufa. She became the laureate of the third prize.of the VIII Demidov International Youth Violin Competition DEMUX in Yekaterinburg in 2019. Maria is also a participant of the Yehudi Menuhin International Violin Competition (Richmond, USA, 2021).

Maria performs in Moscow and other cities of Russia.
