Jakow Pavlenko

Jakow Pavlenko was born in Berlin in 2003. He has been trained by Professor Ina Kertscher at the IFF at the Hanover University of Music, Drama and Media since 2013. He has been a multiple winner of the Jugend Musiziert Competition first prize with the highest score since 2016.

Jakow received the 3rd prize and the Young Musicians' Prize at the Germany finals of the XXII Lions Music Prize in 2016.

He has participated in workshops since 2016 given by renowned professors such as Saschko Gawriloff, Ingolf Turban, Ana Chumachenco, Kirill Troussov, Viktor Tretjakov and Julia Fischer.

Jakow became the youngest participant of the Odessa International Violin Competition in May 2021. He won the second prize as well as several special prizes. Jakow is a scholarship holder of the Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben foundation. The Foundation supported his performances at the festive concert in the Pierre Boulez Hall in Berlin in 2017, at the awarding of the Charlemagne Prize for European unity to Emmanuel Macron and at the III Chamber Music Festival in the Great Hall of the Elbphilharmonie.
