María Dueñas

María Dueñas was born in Granada (Spain), she is a student of Professor Boris Kuschnir at the Music and Arts University of the City of Vienna and at the University of Music and Performing Arts of Graz (Austria).

María is the laureate at the II Zhuhai Mozart International Competition (China), the Vladimir Spivakov International Competition (Russia), the IV Yankelevitch International Violin Competition (Russia) and many others. Maria is the winner of Leonid Kogan International Competition for Young Violonists (Brussels, 2017), Yehudi Menuhin International Violin Competition (Richmond, USA, 2021).

María has performed with such orchestras as the National Philharmonic Orchestra of Russia under Vladimir Spivakov at the Tchaikovsky Concert Hall, the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra under Marek Janowski and the St. Petersburg Symphony Orchestra under Vassily Sinaisky.

She has participated in the International Festival Arts Square in St. Petersburg (Russia), and the Verbier Festival (Switzerland). Highlights for the upcoming season include her debut with Manfred Honeck and the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, the Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra and the Dresden Philharmonic.
