Zaletel-Černoš Rok

Born in 1998 in Ljubljana. Graduated from the Academy of Music of the University of Ljubljana (under prof. Vasily Melnikov). Is currently studying in the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna (under prof. Anton Sorokov). Attended master classes conducted by Maxim Vengerov, Viktor Tretyakov, Stefan Milenkovich, Igor Ozim, Haim Taub and other renowned violinists. Is a laureate of the Valsesia Musica Competition (Varallo, Italy; II prize), the International Fritz Kreisler Competition (Vienna; special prize), the Stefanie Hohl Violin Competition (Vienna; 2nd Prize the Young Virtuosos (Zagreb; Grand prize and I prize), etc. Winner of the Prešeren Award. Performed in Italy, Switzerland, Belarus, France, Serbia, Croatia, Germany, Slovenia, Austria, Japan, Spain, Portugal, and Luxembourg. As a soloist, Rok Zaletel-Černoš has played with the RTV Slovenia Symphony Orchestra, the Orchestra Antonio Vivaldi (Italy), the Symphony Orchestra of the Slovene National Theatre Maribor, the Mendelssohn Chamber Orchestra, the Orchestra Amadeo and others.
