Daniil Kogan

The successor of the famous dynasty of musicians: the grandson of violinists Leonid Kogan and Elizaveta Gilels, the nephew of conductor Pavel Kogan. At the age of six, he began to master the art of playing the violin under the guidance of M. Keselman.

He graduated from the Moscow State Conservatory named after P.I. Tchaikovsky (class of Professor M. Glezarova), then continued his studies with I. Svetlova, improved his skills at the Maastricht Conservatory, and currently studies with E. Wulfson. Founder and Artistic Director of the creative association "Attraction", teacher at the Moscow Conservatory. Daniil is a winner of the first prize at the III Viktor Tretyakov International Violin Competition, laureate and diploma winner of the international competitions named after Marguerite Long, Jacques Thibaud and Regine Crespin (Paris, France), K. Lipinsky (Torun, Poland), A.I. Yampolsky (Moscow, Russia), F. Kreisler (Vienna, Austria).

In 2023, he won the third prize at the XVII International Tchaikovsky Competition (Moscow, Russia). The musician gives many concerts in Russia and abroad. He has performed in the halls of the Moscow Conservatory, P.I. Tchaikovsky Concert Hall, Moscow International House of Music, Academic Capella of St. Petersburg, as well as in concert halls in the USA, Japan, France, Italy, etc. In 2025,
The Blueprint included Daniil in the list of young leaders of culture and art "The Blueprint 100", defining "our near cultural future".

He plays the Antonio Stradivarius violin of 1737.
