About the Competition
The First International Viktor Tretyakov Violin Competition is held with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Krasnoyarsk region.
Unique Event
The competition on this scale will be held in the Krasnoyarsk region for the first time. The venue was chosen purposefully as Krasnoyarsk is the birthplace of Maestro Viktor Tretyakov. The musician will chair the jury panel.
Dates ot the Competition
The First International Viktor Tretyakov Violin Competition will be held in Krasnoyarsk from September 23 to October 1, 2018.
Expert Jury
The outstanding violinists of our times are on the jury panel as well. Most of them are members of the jury of the International Tchaikovsky Competition and representatives of the reputable foreign music universities.
Application deadline
The application deadline is July 15, 2018. Violinists from all over the world aged 16 to 32 inclusive are welcome to apply for the Competition. The names of twenty-five participants of the First International Viktor Tretyakov Violin Competition will be announced on July 23, 2018.
Invaluable Experience
All the performances are open to the public. The finalists of the Competition will perform with the Krasnoyarsk Academic Symphony Orchestra and the Krasnoyarsk Chamber Orchestra who are the leading creative teams of the Siberian Federal District.
Accommodation in Krasnoyarsk
The participants of the Competition are to be provided with accommodation in a twin room of the economy class at 3-star hotel and two meals per day during their stay in Krasnoyarsk.
Prize Fund
The prize fund of the Competition: I Prize – USD 15, 000; II Prize – USD 10, 000; III Prize – USD 6, 600.
Airfare
The fare to Krasnoyarsk shall be reimbursed to the participants of the Competition who go forward to the second round. The refund is up to USD 500.

Sholpan Barlykova
Sholpan Barlykova is the prizewinner of the International Johann Sebastian Bach Competition (Germany, 2007). She graduated from the Central Music School of the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory, and then she continued her studies at the Moscow State Conservatory. She completed her postsgraduate studies at the Moscow Conservatory with a degree in Solo Performance.
Eleonora Teplukhina
Eleonora Teplukhina is a graduate of the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory. Ms. Teplukhina is the winner laureate of international competitions, prizewinner of the award for «The Best Romantic Interpretation» (Italy). She has got a gold medal «For cooperation, contribution and propaganda of modern music» of the Moscow Union of Composers. Eleonora Teplukhina performs in Russia, Israel, Japan, Mexico and European countries.

Stages of the Competition

The Competition consists of 5 stages that are a qualifying round and four main rounds. The applicants will be chosen by submitted videos, the top 25 violinists will be invited to participate in the main rounds of the Competition that will be held in Krasnoyarsk from September 23 to October 1, 2018.
