Along with masterpieces of#nbsp;musical classics, world, all-Russian and Krasnoyarsk premieres occupy a#nbsp;significant place in#nbsp;the Orchestra’s repertoire. The creator, permanent artistic director and conductor of#nbsp;the orchestra, Professor Mikhail Benyumov, has been heading the Department of#nbsp;String Instruments at#nbsp;the Dmitri Hvorostovsky Siberian State Institute of#nbsp;Arts for three decades. The vast majority of#nbsp;the Orchestra’s artists are graduates of#nbsp;the Department, often#nbsp;— Mikhail Benyumov’s students. One of#nbsp;the major Orchestra’s projects is#nbsp;the annual Krasnoyarsk International Festival of#nbsp;Chamber and Orchestral Music "Asia-Siberia-Europe". The combination of#nbsp;classical works and premieres specially written for the festival attracts not only outstanding performers, but also famous contemporary composers to#nbsp;collaborate with the Orchestra. For 25 years, the orchestra has proven its commitment to#nbsp;the high ideals of#nbsp;art, raising from year to#nbsp;year the level of#nbsp;performance, improving the ensemble culture. The Orchestra, along with its "veterans", includes talented young musicians, and this is#nbsp;the key to#nbsp;its future success.
