Nаtаlya Likhopoy

Artistic Director and Ideological Inspirer of the Viktor Tretyakov International Violin Competition.

Natalya Likhopoy is a laureate of many international competitions, including the International Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow, the Violin Competition in Tokyo and the Fritz Kreisler International Violin Competition in Vienna. She is the holder of the special prizes letting her perform with the leading orchestras such as the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra and the Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra.

The famous American violinists Itzhak Perlman named her "the pearl among the Soviet violinists" during his first visit to the USSR at the workshop of the Moscow Conservatory.

For several years, Natalya Likhopoy was the first violin in the Glazunov Quartet, which has an extensive discography and has toured the world. She is the constant partner at the chamber music concerts of Viktor Tretyakov.

She is a professor and a jury member at several international competitions. She regularly gives workshops across Russia, Europe and Asia. Professor at University in Zurich (Switzerland), laureate of international competitions, Distinguished professor at the Dmitri Hvorostovsky Siberian State Academy of Arts.
