Sofiya Yakovenko

Until October 2014, she studied the violin at the Children’s Music School of Khartsyzsk and Makeyevka (Donetsk region), then at the Gnessin Moscow Specialized Music School (College) under Professor T.S. Berkul. Currently, she is a student at the Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory. Scholarship holder of the Vladimir Spivakov Foundation, participant of international music festivals, programs of the St. Petersburg House of Music, subscriptions of the Moscow Philharmonic and the Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory. Laureate of all-Ukrainian, all-Russian, and other international music competitions: V Leopold Auer International Violin Competition (2017); VIII Demidov International Youth Violin Competition "DeMYUKS" (2019), XV International Competition of Young Musicians (Moscow, 2019). She performed at the best concert venues in Russia and other counties, collaborated with outstanding conductors, orchestras and musicians, played in a duet with V. Repin.
