Natalia Likhopoy

Natalia Likhopoy is a violinist, teacher and graduate of the Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory, class of Professor V.V. Tretyakov. Itzhak Perelman, during his first visit to the USSR in 1990, held a master class with Natalia in the Moscow Conservatory Hall, after which he called her "the pearl of Soviet violinists".

Natalia Likhopoy is a laureate of many international competitions, including the International Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow, Tokyo Violin Competition and the Fritz Kreisler International Violin Competition in Vienna, as well as winner of the special prizes allowing her to perform with the world leading orchestras.

She toured the USA, South America, Japan and Europe, where her energetic, emotional and reverent manner of performance was highly appreciated by the public and music critics.

For many years, Natalia has been combining her intense solo activity with the position of the first violinist in the famous Glazunov Quartet, she toured with it almost the entire world and recorded an extensive discography.

The virtuoso is a permanent partner of Viktor Tretyakov at the chamber music concerts.

She remains a committed professor and serves as a jury member for various international competitions, conducts violin workshops across Russia, Europe and Asia.

Artistic Director and the ideological inspirer of the Viktor Tretyakov International Violin Competition. Artistic Director of the Violin Festival in Krasnoyarsk. Vice-Chairman of the Advisory Board of the International Tchaikovsky Competition for Young Musicians. Professor at the Bonn School of Music, Blackmore International Academy in Berlin and Vienna, and Moscow Academy of Performing Arts.
