Fourth round of competition auditions finished

Laureates and holders of special prizes will be announced on October 1, on the International day of Music, at the Closing Ceremony of the II Viktor Tretyakov International Violin Competition

The prize fund is more than 60 000 $ this year and includes:
Grand Prix – certificate for 20 000 $
I prize - 15 000 $
II prize - 10 000 $
III prize - 7 000 $
IV prize - 4 000 $
V prize - 2 000 $

Laureates of the Competition will also get special prizes from the Governor of the Krasnoyarsk region such as the certificate for 500 000 roubles and from the Mayor of the city of Krasnoyarsk which is the certificate for 200 000 roubles. Also, the following artists will award their name prizes such as Yuri Bashmet, Valery Gergiev, Pavel Kogan, Sergei Krylov, Vladimir Lande, Vadim Repin, Vladimir Spivakov. The special prize for the winners is the opportunity to perform with the leading orchestras of Russia and the world.

Some of the prizes have already been awarded. Based on the results of the III round, workshop of Igor Laubach awarded the replica of an old violin of the famous Italian master Antonio Stradivari to Pyotr Fedotov. Prize of Sergej Krylov went to Maria Duenas (Spain/Austria) for the best performance of Paganini’s caprices and to Mikhail Usov (Russia) for the best performance of Rozenblatt’s Siberian Blues.

All spectators will witness the finest hour of the winners and hear the best young violinists of the world playing in one concert, who will soon perform in the most famous concert halls in the world. In Krasnoyarsk soloists will perform with the Siberian State Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Vladimir Lande.
