Sergei Dogadin opens the II Viktor Tratyakov Inernational Violin Competition

The Opening Ceremony of the II Viktor Tretyakov International Competition will be held on September 20. Sergei Dogadin, the winner of the I Viktor Tretyakov International Competition and XVI International Tchaikovsky Competition will perform in the Big Concert Hall of the Krasnoyarsk Regional Philharmonic. He will perform the concert for violin with orchestra in D major of P. Tchaikovsky together with the Siberian State Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Vladimir Lande.

The II Viktor Tretyakov International Competition will be held in Krasnoyarsk from September 20 to October 1. A number of 25 violinists aged between 16 and 32 will compete for the honorary right to receive the main prizes personally from the outstanding musician of our time, People’s Artist of the USSR Viktor Tretyakov. The best young violinists of the world will come to Siberia from 13 countries.

The Competition Jury is chaired by Viktor Tretyakov and includes outstanding musicians of our time, professors of leading music universities. The Competition program includes four offline rounds. All round will take place in the Dmitri Hvorostovsky State Siberian Academy of Arts (I and II rounds) and Krasnoyarsk Regional Philharmonic (III and IV rounds). All Competition events are bright concert shows with the best violinists of the world as a soloist and are open to public.
