Igor Laubach awarded special prizes to the participants of the Competition

Igor Laubach is a violin maker. He opened his own violin studio-workshop in the Bavarian town of Bamberg in 2003. The main working area of the Laubach violin workshop is the construction of authentic string instruments. Numerous musicians playing instruments made by Laubach, won prizes at international competitions.

The violin maker who is specially invited to the Competition awarded a special prize for each of the participant of the I round of the II Viktor Tretyakov International Violin Competition.

Igor Laubach says his gifts bring good luck and the content of the "magic" box will help young musicians to win competitions in the future. The master chose gifts for the participants of the competition together with his wife. Violinists got a sweet surprise from her which is Mozartkugel. It is a traditional Austrian sweetness, known since 1890 and named after the composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
