Compositions by Russian and foreign classics to be performed at the opening ceremony of the violin competition in Krasnoyarsk

Famous works by Russian and foreign composers will be performed by the Siberian State Symphony Orchestra. Its artistic director Vladimir Lande will take the conductor's stand. The soloists will be Pavel Milyukov, Honored Artist of Russia and jury member, and laureates of the previous competition - Daniil Kogan and Stefaniya Pospekhina.

The evening will be opened by the beautiful Stefaniya. In 2023, the 16-year-old violinist became the youngest finalist and won 2nd place at the third Viktor Tretyakov International Violin Competition. After her brilliant performance on the Krasnoyarsk stage, Professor Sergei Ostrovsky of the Geneva Academy of Music called her "the brightest diamond of the Russian violin school." Young Stefaniya will perform Alexander Glazunov's violin concerto, full of touching lyricism and rapturous rapture.

Next up will be Daniil Kogan, the successor of the famous musical dynasty and the winner of the First Prize of the III Viktor Tretyakov International Violin Competition. The virtuoso musician will play the most difficult solo part in the Concerto for Violin and Orchestra by Johannes Brahms.

The program will be concluded by a performance by Pavel Milyukov. One of the best violinists of our time will perform the third part of the Concerto by P.I. Tchaikovsky. The energetic and life-affirming finale of the work, imbued with an atmosphere of popular joy, will set the audience and contestants up for the upcoming creative struggle for the prizes of the IV Viktor Tretyakov International Violin Competition.

Tickets for the opening ceremony of the IV Viktor Tretyakov International Violin Competition can be purchased at the ticket office of the Krasnoyarsk Regional Philharmonic and online.
