Among the contestants are talented students from prestigious institutions including the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory, the Rimsky-Korsakov Saint Petersburg State Conservatory, the Gnessin Russian Academy of Music, the Curtis Institute of Music (USA), and the Guildhall School of Music & Drama (UK). Additionally, applications have been received from accomplished musicians representing leading orchestras such as the St. Petersburg Governor’s Symphony Orchestra, the State Kremlin Orchestra of the Administrative Directorate of the President of the Russian Federation, and the Shanghai Opera House Orchestra.

The next phase is a remote preselection round, the results to be announced by July 20, 2025. The expert jury will select 25 promising young violinists who will be invited to compete in the live stage of the competition. The winners of the preselection round will be provided with round-trip air or rail tickets to Krasnoyarsk, where the public auditions of the finalists will be held, along with accommodation for the duration of the event.
