Tickets for the II Viktor Tretyakov International Violin Competition on sale

The II Viktor Tretyakov International Violin Competition will take place in Krasnoyarsk from September 20 to October 1, 2021. The best young violinists in the world will come to Siberia. A number of 25 musicians between the age of 16 and 32 will fight for the honorary right to receive the main prizes from Viktor Tretyakov, the outstanding musician of our time, the People’s Artist of the USSR. All musicians went through the preliminary round of the Competition. Musicians from Russia, Austria, Spain, Italy, China, the USA, Japan, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Singapore, applied to participate in the Competition.

We are establishing a new heart-warming tradition due to the support of the Government of the Krasnoyarsk region and personally the Governor of the Krasnoyarsk region Alexander Uss”, said Viktor Tretyakov, the president of the Competition. — “To preserve the values and achievements of the Russian violin school, share them with the future generations is our common mission and meaning of our work. I look forward to bright, authentic, and heartfelt performances. The sincere audience is absolutely ready to get to know new stars”.


Most of the Competition participants already have stage experience and are prestigious music awards winners. They perform in the most famous venues in the world with the best orchestras and conductors. The II Viktor Tretyakov International Violin Competition meets all the international standards on organizing and delivery of such events in terms of program difficulty requirements, number of rounds, jury members’ qualification. Krasnoyarsk violinist Darya Manza got the right to participate in the Competition. Darya is a student at Dmitri Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk State Academy of Arts, class of Professor Mikhail Benyumov.

Members of the jury include outstanding violinists of our time and professors of the best music schools from all over the world. The head of the Jury is Viktor Tretyakov.


The Opening Ceremony of the II Viktor Tretyakov International Violin Competition will take place in the Big Hall of the Krasnoyarsk Regional Philharmonic on September 20. Spectators will be able to meet the contestants and hear the performance of one of the best violinists in the world Sergey Dogadin, who is the winner of the I Viktor Tretyakov International Violin Competition, XVI International Tchaikovsky Competition and other major international violin events.

The Competition schedule includes 4 face-to-face rounds that will take place in the Dmitri Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk State Academy of Arts (I and II rounds) and the Krasnoyarsk Regional Philharmonic (III and IV rounds). The Closing and Awarding Ceremonies as well as the concert with the winners will take place in the Big Concert Hall of the Krasnoyarsk Regional Philharmonic on October 1.

 The tickets to the Opening and Closing Ceremonies as well any round of the Competition can be purchased in the ticket boxes and on websites of the Krasnoyarsk Regional Philharmonic and Dmitri Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk State Academy of Arts.

The Organizer of the Viktor Tretyakov International Violin Competition is the Ministry of Culture of the Krasnoyarsk region. The Competitions is held once in two years with the support from the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and the Government of the Krasnoyarsk region.
