Musicians from 16 to 32 years old worldwide can participate in the Competition. To apply, submit an application on violintretyakovcompetition.com along with a video recording of a solo performance of your choice. All entries will undergo a remote qualifying round. The Jury will select 25 young violinists who will receive an invitation to the in-person stage of the Competition no later than July 20, 2025.
Public auditions of the strongest performers will take place from September 20 to October 1, 2025 in Krasnoyarsk. Krasnoyarsk was chosen as the venue as it is the hometown of Viktor Tretyakov, a renowned musician and honorary citizen of the city and region, who serves as the Competition's President and Jury Chairman. It was precisely due to his authority and support that it became possible to host a world-class violin competition in Krasnoyarsk.

The selected participants will face four rounds in Krasnoyarsk: a solo performance in the first round, a program with a concertmaster in the second round, a concert with a chamber orchestra in the third round, and a concert with a symphony orchestra in the final round.
The winners will be selected by a panel of renowned violinists and representatives from leading music universities worldwide. The total prize fund of the Competition will exceed 5,000,000 rubles.
Prizes for Laureates:
Special Prize of the Governor of the Krasnoyarsk region - 500,000 rubles
Prize of the Mayor of Krasnoyarsk - 200,000 rubles.
