The competition will be traditionally held from September 20 to October 1, 2023, under the leadership of the permanent president and jury chairman of the competition, maestro Viktor Tretyakov and artistic director Nаtаlya Likhopoy, with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and the Government of the Krasnoyarsk region.
The most talented performers from all over the world will take the stage of the concert halls of the Krasnoyarsk Regional Philharmonic and the Dmitri Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk State Academy of Arts again.
The start of the application campaign is March 20. All applicants aged 16 to 32 who submitted application forms together with their appendices, participate in the absentee preselection round.
Deadline for acceptance of applications is June 20. And already on July 20, two months before the start of the competition, the preselection jury will announce the names of those who got to the first main round.
There are four main rounds in the competition. In the first of them, no more than 25 participants perform a solo program. Twelve participants of the second round have a solo program with an accompanist. Eight participants of the third round perform with the Krasnoyarsk Chamber Orchestra and in a trio: violin, cello (Boris Andrianov), piano (Ekaterina Mechetina). Six performers of the fourth round - with the Siberian State Symphony Orchestra.
This year the music world celebrates the 150th anniversary of the birth of Sergei Rachmaninov, great Russian and Soviet composer, pianist and conductor. Therefore, the competition program includes his musical pieces.
This year, the registration fee of $150, which was previously paid when submitting an application, was decided to be replaced by a non-refundable registration fee in Russian rubles upon arrival in Krasnoyarsk in the amount of 10,000 rubles.
The prizes for laureates of the competition will also be paid in rubles:
Grand prix – 1 200 000 Russian rubles,
1st prize – 1 000 000 Russian rubles,
2nd prize – 800 000 Russian rubles,
3rd prize – 500 000 Russian rubles,
4th prize – 300 000 Russian rubles,
5th prize – 150 000 Russian rubles.
The Special Prize of the Governor of the Krasnoyarsk region – 500,000 rubles,
The Prize of the Mayor of Krasnoyarsk – 200,000 rubles.
