The Opening Ceremony of the II Viktor Tretyakov International Violin Competition will be held in the Big Concert Hall of the Krasnoyarsk Regional Philharmonic on September 20 at 7PM. The Competion will be opened with the concert of the winner of the I Viktor Tretyakov International Violin Competition and XVI International Tchaikovsky Competition Sergei Dogadin. Also, an 8-year old child prodigy and violinist Sasha Kolesnikov will perform. He has been taking violin lessons since the age of 4 and currently he is a student of the Central Music School of the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory. He is a holder of many prestigious prizes. He already won the International Festival and Competition Magic World of Art (Grand Prix), Rudolf Barshai International String Competition (1st prize); Radda Rise International Violin Competition (1st prize); IV Turchaninova All-Russian Violin Competition (1st prize) and so on in 2021. He has been performing with orchestras since 2018, and he gave one of his first recitals in Germany at the Munich Gasteig Concert Hall. He has been a regular participant in international workshops by professors Viktor Tretyakov and Natalia Likhopoy since 2019.
The guest stars will perform with the Siberian State Symphony Orchestra conducted by Vladimir Lande. He will perform Tchaikovsky's Concerto for Violin and Orchestra in D major.

Round IV is the final stage of the competitive program. Six finalists will compete for the main prizes of the competition. According to the Competition regulations, they must perform concerts for violin with a symphony orchestra by composers of the 19th and 20th centuries. Concerts by Tchaikovsky, Brahms, Sibelius, Shostakovich will be performed.
